Knobs Flat lies half way between Te Anau and Milford Sound deep in Fiordland National Park's Eglinton Valley. It is a place to experience some of Fiordland's majesty. A wide glaciated beech forest clad valley where kaka, kakariki, falcon and many other native birds can be found. The road was opened up as recently as the mid 1930's and Knobs Flat Accommodation takes the traveler back to some of those simpler times with some of todays comforts. A warm comfortable room without radio or TV, without cellphone coverage or the internet. Enjoy a warm welcome from your host and a book from the library, the biodiversity of the valley or just the peace and quite of the wilderness.
